Shocking moment young thugs brawl at Winter Wonderland before Taser-wielding cops intervene

Fighting at Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland - (London & UK Street News)

Violence erupted at London's Winter Wonderland as youths tore down barriers before punching and grabbing each other.

Footage shows a group chasing after one young male, flinging themselves over the metal entrance barriers to reach him.

He falls backwards onto a group of people before being punched to the ground.

Three attackers then corner him and repeatedly strike him as he tries to flee, while the rest of the gang catch up.

Members of the public, including teenage girls, can be seen cowering and holding each other in fear.

Police sirens were heard within minutes of the brawl breaking out on Christmas Eve.

Some of the youths ran away but when officers arrived armed with Taser stun guns, they told the public: "Everybody go home!"

Another brawler raised his hands as police pointed a weapon at him.

The person behind the camera is heard saying: “A Taser? Look at this! Welcome to Winter Wonderland.”

The video was posted on X, formerly Twitter, a day after another clip captured a woman who’d been knocked unconscious in a fight.

Winter Wonderland has been criticised as overcrowded and overpriced, and was last week named Europe’s most complained-about festive attraction.

The Hyde Park event generates an estimated £100million for London’s economy - while raising vital funds for the capital’s Royal Parks.

A spokesman for Hyde Park Winter Wonderland said last week: “The safety of our visitors and staff is our top priority and aggressive or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated.

“Hyde Park Winter Wonderland is a large-scale seasonal event, welcoming around three million visits over a six-week period, and we work closely with the Metropolitan Police and relevant authorities to ensure security and crowd-management measures are as robust as possible.

“The vast majority of our guests have a positive experience. As with any event of this scale, there can occasionally be instances of antisocial behaviour.”
