This is the shocking moment a teenager is floored by a single punch in an unprovoked attack in a Surrey town centre.
The victim, 19, needed a plate inserted into his jaw following the vicious assault in Guildford.
He was struck in the face by one of three men who approach him in the street.
The blow knocked him off balance and he fell to the floor.
As the victim lays in the road and passersby rush to help, the trio can be seen fleeing the scene in dramatic footage released by police.
The young man was walking home from a night out in the town centre before he was attacked at about 3am on September 11 last year.
Police, who trying to trace the young man’s attackers, said the victim did not know the men who approached him.
Releasing CCTV footage of the incident on Tuesday night, Surrey Police urged any potential witnesses to come forward.
Investigating officer Kieran Coffey said: "We have released the video footage as it highlights how just one punch can cause serious injury and have devastating consequences.
"The victim had to have a plate inserted in his jaw following the assault and we are really keen to bring his attackers to justice.
"He did not know any of these men and was walking home after a night out when the incident took place.
"I am hoping that releasing the video footage will prompt someone into coming forward."
