Alarming video footage shows a teenager driving at 110mph before crashing into a field.
Fred Jibson led police on the high speed chase along the A1079 by Hayton, near Pocklington in East Yorkshire, which ended when he spun his vehicle out of control and ploughed into a fence.
The pursuit, in December 2019, ensued after the 19-year-old overtook multiple cars at high speed, not realising one was an unmarked police vehicle, Hull Live reports.
Jibson, now 20, of Mile Field Farm in Pocklington ended up landing 50 metres away in a field.
Hull Crown Court heard how Jibson failed to stop the vehicle in a "sheer blind panic", forcing police to drive at over 140mph to catch up to him.

After he crashed, the pursuing officer "feared the worst" and was "bracing for fatalities" after noticing a fence post had pierced through the car windscreen.
But miraculously, Jibson came away from the wreckage unscathed, repeating to the officer, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
He tested negative for alcohol and drugs and was driving a legally valid vehicle with a full driver's licence, the court heard.
He also admitted himself that his driving was "shocking" when shown the footage during a police interview.
"I have no reason for it at all," he said. "I just panicked".

Addressing Jibson in the dock, Recorder Andrew Dallas said: "It is a miracle you didn’t kill yourself or anyone else."
Jibson was given a ten month term of imprisonment suspended for two years.
