Shocking moment drivers flee scene after fatal hit-and-run

This is the horrific moment two cars were involved in a crash which left a pedestrian fatally injured.

The occupants of both cars fled the scene - and now the family of Aaron Wilson is appealing for help to track them down.

Aaron, 29, lost his life after getting trapped in between two vehicles on December 3 in Coventry.

The father-of-one had his leg amputated as a result of the crash, but sadly later died on December 5.

Shocking CCTV from the crash which has just been released by police shows a Mercedes Vito van smashing into a Vauxhall Zafira, before the drivers flee the scene.

West Midlands Police say the incident was ‘truly horrific’ and are appealing for witnesses.

In a prepared statement at a press conference, Aaron’s partner Katie Robertson said: “On December 3 our lives changed forever when I received the devastating phone call that Aaron had been involved in a road accident.

“When we got to the scene, what I saw will stay with me for the rest of my life.

“Aaron was an amazing father, son, brother, partner and friend.

“This traumatic accident has broken our family in half. Aaron has left his two-year-old daughter who he loved very much.

“I am appealing for anyone who knows anything to come forward.
