This is the horrifying moment a courier was forced to beg for his life as masked thieves held him up at gunpoint.
The victim can be seen helplessly pleading with his two assailants, as one of them points a pistol straight at his heart.
Seconds later, the gun was fired into the air, and the two thugs ran off with the courier’s cash box.
They then fled in a VW Golf, which they later set on fire in another party of the Cadishead suburb.
The cash box, it turns out, was empty.
Police released footage of the terrifying incident which took place outside a Barclays bank in Salford, Manchester, just before 2.20pm on Monday.
The force said the brave courier was unharmed, but stressed that he had been through a “terrifying ordeal.”
They are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Sergeant Karl Dalton of GMP’s Salford District said: “As the footage shows – this was a terrifying ordeal to live through for the cash-in-transit courier.
“Thanks in part to his remarkably calm-handling of the situation, he was left unharmed and despite the psychological impact of crimes like this, he is recovering well.
“The footage we have released is very clear. While the men have their faces covered, we’re confident that someone may recognise them.”
Sergeant Dalton emphasised that the car they left was also “quite distinctive” in the hope that someone may remember seeing it.
“Even the smallest piece of information can often be enough to help officers solve crimes like this. If you know something that can assist us, please get in touch as soon as possible,” he added.
