Shocking moment bikers lead police on high speed chase through Glasgow streets

This is the moment a group of masked dirt bike yobs lead cops on a high-speed chase through the centre of Glasgow .

The riders bomb down Renfield Street before coming to a stop at traffic lights next to a police van before revving their engines and shouting "Ho! Whit's happening!?".

The officers have enough of their antics and turn on the blue lights after being taunted at the next set of lights. The chase then turns on Bath Street.

Sitting on the back of the lead bike, one of the thugs films his masked pal pumping his fist  and cheering.

The shocking incident took place on Tuesday November 5.

The cops struggle to keep pace as the bikers weave in and out of the streets, narrowly avoiding other cars.

Turning back towards the centre of town, the chase heads down Renfrew Street and onto Cambridge Street before the video ends with the yobs speeding towards the motorway at Cowcaddens with police barely in sight.

Posted on Twitter, the clip has racked up over 3,800 likes since it was uploaded on November 6.

Police have now issued an appeal for information from anyone who can help them track down the drivers.

"The drivers failed to stop for officers.

"Anyone with information regarding their identity should contact City Centre Police Office through 101 quoting reference number 5043 of 5th November."
