A band's eagerly anticipated comeback descended into a chaotic on-stage brawl as the lead singer appears to throw a punch at the bassist as he screamed: 'I'm going to f*****g kill you'.
Indie rockers The View abandoned their sold-out gig in Manchester last night after the fight.
Fan Jason Daniels was stunned when the Scottish group's return at the Deaf Institute was cut short.
The 39-year-old claims he noticed bickering between front man Kyle Falconer and bassist Kieren Webster before the latter kicked a microphone stand.
His shocking footage then shows Kyle appearing to throw a punch as others are trying to break them apart.
A second clip shows Kyle returning to the stage after a break to sing some acoustic numbers where he addresses the incident.
He said: "If you want, I think you should maybe ask Kieran to come up and finish the set. The problem with this band is he wants to sing the songs and he can't, right."
The View issued a statement this morning postponing their London gig while they 'resolve the situation' and have sent a 'massive apology' to fans.
Daniel says the packed Deaf Institute was stunned to silence during the brawl but chatter turned to whether they'd be getting a refund as they left.
The dad-of-three admits he was disappointed he didn't get to see one of his favourite bands complete set but claims the incident was 'real rock n' roll'.
His video has been seen more than 300,000 times on Twitter.
Daniel, from Sale, Greater Manchester, said: "It was proper rock n roll. Kyle just flipped. It was your typical playground altercation.
"I was surprised by it. I've been to gigs in the past where stuff's happened but nothing like that.
"It was bittersweet because we missed half the gig, so I was half p**sed off but then I was thinking 'we've seen something mental there'.
"I don't know if we'll get a refund. I'm not fussed about it but people were talking about it."
Daniel says the incident happened after bassist Kieren swapped with Kyle to become the lead singer for a few tracks and it was when Kieren was walking back to his old position that he kicked the mic stand.
The home improvement company director has seen The View more than 10 times since 2006 and he says the incident won't stop him being a fan.
One shocked commenter said: "I think I'll pause buying tickets then."
Jason replied: "Might be wise!"
Another joked: "You got a good old view of that then."
A statement from The View this morning says: "Unfortunately, we are having to postpone tonight's London show. Our promoter is working to resolve the situation. Please keep hold of your tickets for now & we will make a further announcement in a few days. Massive apologies to all our fans."
Representatives of the band declined to comment further.
