This is the shocking moment a quad bike and a lump hammer were thrown out of the back of a van at a police car driving behind it.

The incident happened at around 7.40pm on Friday when officers were following the vehicle, Derbyshire Police told the BBC.

Officers were pursuing the van, believed to have been involved in burglary in Brassington, on a road between Longshaw and Upper Padley.
