Shocking footage shows two men and woman fighting with hurl and stick in Cork city centre

Shocking footage shows the moment two men and a woman fighting with a hurl and a stick in Cork city centre on Monday.

The violent altercation took place yesterday afternoon in plain sight in what is normally one of the cities busiest areas, CorkBeo.ie reports.

Bystanders were shocked as the three individuals attacked one another using the weapons as blood visibly ran down the head of one of the men involved.

Gardai are currently investigating the incident which took place on Daunt Square.

A Garda spokesperson said: "Gardai are investigating an assault involving two men that occurred at Daunt Square, Cork on May 25 shortly after 12 midday.

"Ambulance personnel attended but neither man was brought to hospital.

"No arrests were made, and the investigation is onging."

The violent incident follows a mass brawl that took place in the county over the weekend.

A gang of up to 70 youths were reported to have took part in an organised fight in the Mount Oval area on Saturday.

One teenager is seen being kicked on the ground in dramatic footage as cars beeped their horns at the group. 

Gardai confirmed a full investigation into the shocking brawl is underway.
