This footage shows the moment two men attacked a car with weapons in the middle of heavy traffic in Mallow, Co Cork.
The men jumped out of their car on Bridge Street in the town around 12:30pm before launching vicious swings with weapons towards a vehicle going the opposite direction, CorkBeo.ie reports.
Video showed both men holding weapons with one man holding what looked like a baseball bat in the attack.
The men repeatedly smash their weapons into the car's windows and doors before the driver seat window shatters.
The pair then jump back in to their car before the video cuts off.
Two men have been arrested following the incident after detectives from Mallow Garda Station carried out an investigation.
Gardai executed a search warrant this morning with assistance from the Armed Support Unit and, as a result, arrested a juvenile and a man in his 20s, they also seized a number of offensive weapons.
Both males are currently detained at Mallow Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
An eyewitness told CorkBeo.ie about the frightening incident and what they saw.
"I heard a lot of shouting and beeping - a couple of guys got out of a car, they had baseball bats and started bashing the other car.
"It was a bit crazy - this was on the main street just before one o'clock and there were cars everywhere.
"Then the car they attacked drove off - the guys went around the corner and got out to check the damage."
