Bizarre footage obtained by Dublin Live shows a man in west Dublin failing to surrender to gardai after he refused to stop his vehicle.
The incident, which took place in the Clonsilla area of Blanchardstown shortly before 9 o'clock last night, shows the man resisting to comply with Gardai.
Eventually, he is removed from the car but even then, he still continues to put up a fight with officers.

Gardai plead with the man to let go of the car but he fails to do so and instead puts his head down.
It takes three gardai to try and hold off the driver who can be heard saying that if they let go of him, he'll let go of the car.
Neighbours can also be heard saying "don't spray him" as one garda is seen holding up a pepper spray can.

In a statement to Dublin Live, a spokesman for Dublin Live said that: A man in his 40’s was arrested following an incident that occurred at approximately 8.45pm on 13 May in the Clonsilla area of Blanchardstown.
"The man initially failed to stop his vehicle after being approached by Gardaí.

"He then refused to comply with Gardaí and when he attempted to abandon his vehicle, it rolled back and struck a Garda car."
Gardai confirmed that there was no damage to the car and that the man was detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station where he remains.
