Shocking footage as fire breaks out at flats in Glasgow's southside

A large blaze has broken out at a housing development in Glasgow.

Fire crews rushed to Riverford Road in the southside of the city at around 7.30pm on Friday night.

Video from the scene shows flames taking hold of the roof of a building that is surrounded by scaffolding.

An eye witness said there were around 10 appliances at the scene.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they are at the scene but did not give any further comment.
