The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh was left furious at a contestant's wife for making a 'shocking' decision.
Four new players were welcomed to the show to take on 'The Beast' Mark Labbett.
In a bid to win some cash, first up was Sue, who managed to bring back £7,000 to the table.
Next up to face The Beast was Garry, who earned an impressive £8,000 from his questions with host Bradley Walsh.
Garry was then offered a whopping £40,000 from Mark, but his teammates urged him to stick with the £8,000.
The contestant then told Bradley that he was under 'strict' instruction not to go for the higher offer.
Bradley asked which one of his teammates he was talking about, after which Garry admitted it was his wife.
The contestant then flew through the questions, and even made it back home with two spaces ahead of the Chaser.
The presenter then fumed at his wife, Janice, saying: "Janice... shocker. Janice, because of you darling we've just thrown away £32,000. I hope you're happy.
"Garry wanted to go for it, he was whispering to me, 'I wanna go for it, Janice won't let me'. Look what you've done now.
"Shocking decision girls, shocking decision, Garry congratulations mate."
The Chase continues weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
