Shocked police pulled over a man seen riding a unicycle on the motorway.
Officers said they were alerted by multiple motorists to a man using an electric unicycle on the M6 near Cheshire.
He was first spotted near junction 19 and 20 of the southbound carriageway of the motorway.
Then officers from the North West Motorway Police pursued him to the A556, which links Manchester and Cheshire.
The man was given a ticket for being on the motorway.
After the incident, an officer posted on Facebook: "Couldn't quite believe my eyes this morning!
"Multiple calls received about a male on an electric unicycle on the hard shoulder of M6 junction 20 to 19 southbound.
"Located it on cctv and followed it on to A556.
"Rider stopped and issued TOR for being on the motorway."
