Shock to YSRCP as TDP's Panchumarthi Anuradha wins MLC election in Andhra Pradesh

AMARAVATI: In a stunning development, TDP nominee Panchumarthi Anuradha emerged victorious in legislative council elections from MLA quota on Thursday.

Although, TDP has a strength of 19 MLAs, its nominee Anuradha secured the support of 23 legislators.

Although, YSRCP expected that two of its rebel legislators Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy and Anam Ramanarayana Reddy will vote to TDP, it had not expected that another legislators would also cross the line.

The result left the YSRCP leadership in a state of shock as it was completely an expected result. YSRCP had fielded seven candidates and wanted to win all the seven. Surprisingly, YSRCP has got just six seats.
