Shock results have become all too frequent on the current series of Strictly Come Dancing but this weekend might have sprung the biggest yet.
And fans are NOT happy! In the most shocking outcome since Dev Griffin’s early exit from the BBC dancing competition, Michelle Visage and her pro partner Giovanni Pernice have become the latest couple to be eliminated from Strictly 2019, after losing out in the dance-off to Saffron Barker and her dancing partner AJ Pritchard, with all the judges opting to keep the social media star.
Michelle and Giovanni did finish bottom of the leaderboard on Saturday night, after receiving a score of 32 for their Couples Choice routine to Vogue, but given Michelle’s consistently high scores, many fans of the show are raging at her going home, having pegged her as a sure fire finalist.
One fan tweeted “absolutely fewmin!!!” (sic) and, echoing those sentiments another viewer posted "Absolutely gutted for Michelle. She is an INCREDIBLE dancer and performer."
Others were outraged that Saffron and Michelle were even in the dance-off, with one furiously tweeting "can you rename the show to Strictly come personality. As it's not judged on dancing it's based on who has the most followers! Good dancers have been kicked off!"
And another wrote "Neither saffron nor michelle visage deserve to be in the bottom two based off of their dancing ability #strictly this is actually ridiculous."
