Shock death news for Tyrone Dobbs on Coronation Street

Tyrone Dobbs has been living in bliss with his new girlfriend Alina Pop on Coronation Street.

However next week on the soap the mechanic, played by Alan Halsall, is floored to receive some shocking news.

Tyrone is overwhelmed when Alina buys a motorbike for him, and then he unveils his new 'T&A' tattoo.

When his former fiance Fiz Stape catches sight of it, she reckons it’s just another example of his mid-life crisis.

But back home Tyrone finds a police officer at the door who informs him of a shocking death.

He's floored to learn that his ex Kirsty Soames is dead.

Tyrone was abused by Kirsty (ITV)

In shock Tyrone turns to Fiz as they prepare to break the news to Ruby, his daughter with Kirsty.

Kirsty, played by Natalie Gumede, was last seen when she was sent to prison in 2013 at the conclusion of a harrowing domestic abuse storyline.

The former policewoman was violent towards him but lied and claimed that Tyrone was abusing her.

Tyrone, who embarked on a relationship with Fiz who had supported him, was arrested and charged with assault

But in court Kirsty, who gave birth to Ruby in 2012, finally admitted that she was the monster, not Tyrone.

She was jailed in 2013 (ITV)

Tyrone was discharged from the court, and Ruby was returned to him.

Kirsty saw Tyrone and Fiz walking away with her baby together while she was taken to prison.

The next day he told her not to contact him or Ruby ever again and that he wasn't scared of her anymore.

The following year Tyrone received a call to say that Kirsty had been released from prison.

He then started receiving anonymous text messages from someone named 'K.'

Tyrone believed this was Kirsty but the culprit was unmasked as Maria Connor who had become obsessed with trying to rekindle her relationship with him despite him being in a happy relationship with Fiz, her daughter Hope with her late husband John Stape and Ruby.

The police later revealed that Kirsty no longer lived in the UK, but could not disclose her whereabouts for legal reasons.
