Corrie fans were floored when a Piers Morgan look-alike walked through the door during Friday's double bill.
Viewers did a double take when a Welsh businessman turned up at the Rovers Return for a look around as a potential buyer.
Soap watchers thought he was a dead ringer for the former Good Morning Britain presenter who left the ITV breakfast show in March following a row over comments he made about Meghan Markle.
The look-alike appeared in scenes with scheming Daisy Midgeley, played by Charlotte Jordan, as she attempted to see off the potential buyer for the Rovers.

The buyer at first seemed keen, telling Daisy: "What an absolutely charming little boozer."
But then he was hit by the stench from rotting prawns that she had planted.
"What's that god awful smell?" he winced.

"Put it this way," said devious Daisy. "We were all wearing masks long before Covid."
Fans took to Twitter to express their amazment at seeing 'Piers' on Corrie.
One tweeted to him: "@piersmorgan your Welsh accent is coming on nicely."

"Has Piers Morgan taken up acting?" asked another.
"OMG - Piers Morgan is buying the Rovers...& he's got a Welsh accent...who knew?" another gasped.
Last month the soap included a dig at Piers made by the late Seb Franklin.
Seb was cutting about the ex newspaper editor as he chatted with with cafe owner Roy Cropper.
When Roy asked him "Can I be candid?" he replied "you can be whoever you like as long as it's not Piers Morgan because he does my nut in."
A row erupted when Piers said on GMB he "didn't believe" Meghan's claims in her tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey that she had suicidal thoughts while pregnant with son Archie.
Back in 2017 Piers joked with former Corrie actress Kym Marsh that he could have a role in Weatherfield as her character Michelle Connor's love interest.
"If she wants the slippers and pipe guy, enter me!" he told Kym.
