Shock as Glasgow bar and restaurant Bothwell House closes after just six months

A popular new restaurant and cocktail bar has shocked Glasgow's food and drink fans after announcing it has closed just six months after opening.

Chic venue Bothwell House only opened its doors at the end of September last year on Bothwell Street after taking over the site that was the Grill on the Corner.

The venue quickly proved popular for its live entertainment, signature drinks, and "laid-back party vibes", however, it has since announced on its website that it is now permanently closed, thanking previous guests for their custom.

The brand's social media pages on both Facebook and Instagram have also been taken offline.

They added that any pending or future reservations have also been cancelled.

The restaurant was known for its Mediterranean and Middle Eastern-infused menu, as well as the expansive cherry blossom tree that filled the interior.
