Mesut Ozil continues to train with the Arsenal first-team squad despite not being able to take part in competitive matches.
It's no secret that the 31-year-old's long-term future at the Emirates Stadium is looking rather bleak after Mikel Arteta's decision not to include him in the Gunners' Premier League and Europa League squads for the 2020/21 season.
As a result, Ozil may very well have already played his final game in an Arsenal shirt as he won't be able to feature in either of the aforementioned competitions until the new year at the earliest.
However, in a lengthy statement released on his social media last month, the attacking midfielder has vowed to train as best as he can as he looks to work his way back into Arteta's plans.
It remains to be seen if that happens, but teammate Shkodran Mustafi confirmed last week that Ozil's attitude in training since the announcements has been positive.
"I can't say too much about it. They have been talking a lot about it," Mustafi told reporters. "For me, Mesut is not just a team-mate, he’s a friend. I respect him and he has always respected me and everyone else as far as I have seen.
"But at the moment every time I see him in training he's doing the best he can.
"He tries to train well and everything else is not in my hands. I’m not the one who makes the decisions.
"But for me, it’s about how I see him on the training pitch and I can say nothing negative about him."
And Mustafi has been proven right about Ozil, with the latter taking to social media ahead of Arsenal's Europa League clash against Molde to show what he's been up to in training.
Uploading two videos onto his Instagram account of him doing some gym work, the Gunners no.10 had a simple two-word message to share.
"Stay dedicated," he wrote.
Ozil, who has not played for the club since March, will be watching from home tonight as his teammates welcome Molde to the Emirates Stadium on matchday three in the Europa League.
Without him the Gunners have beaten both Rapid Wien and Dundalk in the group phase, meaning victory over the Norwegian side would leave them on the brink of qualifying for the knockout phase.
Arteta will resubmit his squad for the latter stages of the campaign should his side get out of the group, but will he recall Ozil?
