It was a night of real drama at Anfield as Liverpool and Arsenal battled it out for a place in the Carabao Cup quarter finals.
The two sides played out a stunning 5-5 draw on Merseyside in a clash that certainly got pulses racing.
However it was Jurgen Klopp's side who squeezed through to the next round after coming out victorious in a penalty shootout.
The goal that got things running came as a result of another error from Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi.
The centre-back prodded the ball into his own net after a cross from former Gunner Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Thankfully that own goal barely scratched the surface of the drama that took place on the night, but it was still a mistake which hit Mustafi hard.
The Arsenal man took to social media after the match to accept blame for the own goal.
He said: "It's been a hard battle at Anfield and it did not help that I let the team down to start with but we fought back.
"Unlucky in the end to lose on penalties."
While it's a shame for Mustafi, there must be consolation in knowing that he wasn't the only person to make a mistake with the ball hitting the net a staggering 19 times on the evening.
