Hinata Sasaki of Tachikawa High School in Tokyo came second to win the Yomiuri Shimbun award, followed by Yui Mikuma of Motomachi High School in Hiroshima in third place.

In the second part of the day's competition, in which other contestants participated, Aria Kanazawa of Gunma Kokusai Academy in Gunma Prefecture won the top foreign minister prize. Taya Ramchandani of Ashiya International Secondary School in Hyogo Prefecture took home the second-place Yomiuri Shimbun award, followed by Asumi Nakahara of Seishin Girl's High School in Okayama Prefecture.
