'Shivlinga' found during Gyanvapi survey: Truth can't be hidden, says UP deputy CM Keshav Maurya

PRAYAGRAJ: Following the 'discovery' of a 'Shivlinga' and the susbequent sealing of the 'wuzu' area of the Gyanvapi complex, UP deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya claimed that development had a 'mythological' message.

"Buddh Purnima ke awasar par Gyanvapi me Baba Mahadev ke Prakatikaran ne desh ki Sanatan Hindu Parampara ko ek pauranik Sandesh diya hai (Appearance of Lord Shiva at Gyanvapi on Buddh Purnima has given a mythological message of Sanatan Hindu tradition of the country)," he tweeted.

In another tweet, he said "truth can't be hidden". "Satya ko aap kitna bhi chhupa lijiye lekin ek din saamne aa hi jaata hai, kyon ki 'Satya Hi Shiv Hai'. Baba ki Jai. Har Har Mahadev," he tweeted with a hashtag #GyanvapiTruthNow.

The Vishwa Vedic Sanatan Sangh (VVSS), which is backing the five petitioners in the case, said that now the wait shouldn't be long. "Now, we can't wait for another 50 years. A grand temple of Baba Vishwanath would be constructed above the Lord Vishweshwar Shivlinga in the Gyanvapi complex," said VVSS lawyer Jitendra Singh Bisen.

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi tweeted, “This is a textbook repeat of December 1949 in Babri Masjid. This order itself changes the religious nature of the masjid. This is a violation of the 1991 Act. This was my apprehension and it has come true. Gyanvapi Masjid was & will remain a masjid till judgement day inshallah.”
