
The costs of the blockage of the Suez Canal continue to pile up, as more than 150 ships were waiting to use the waterway early on Thursday. The canal has been blocked since Tuesday morning by a massive container vessel that ran aground. The ship's Japanese owners have apologised to those affected by the delays, while the canal operator renewed efforts to move the vessel.
