Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra has been arrested by the Mumbai Police as the 'key conspirator' in a pornography-related case.

The Mumbai Police Commissioner, Hemant Nagrale confirmed the arrest in a statement that read, "There was a case registered with Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 about the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some Apps. We’ve arrested Mr Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this."
He also went on to state, "We have sufficient evidence regarding this. The investigation is in progress."
Kundra has been slammed with IPC sections of cheating, indulging in the obscene act in public places and publicly exhibiting or circulating obscene books or literature and under the Information Technology Act.
Raj Kundra will spend the night in the custody of the Crime Branch, Mumbai. He will be placed in the property cell office.
According to a report, the cops filed two FIRs and apprehended nine people last week for allegedly "forcing" actors to shoot nude scenes for pornographic films. The report further stated that these films were released/streamed on paid mobile applications.
Reportedly, Poonam Pandey has filed a case against Raj Kundra and his associates in Bombay High Court. The model-actress stated that Kundra and his associates have been illegally using her content and added that the contract between them was terminated.
Meanwhile, Kundra and his associate, Saurabh Kushwah denied Pandey's claims and said that they haven't received any notice till now.
Raj Kundra will be produced before the in the CMM Court, also known as Killa Court in the second half of the day. On Tuesday morning, the Mumbai Police Crime Branch made yet another arrest in this case. According to ANI, one Ryan Tharp from the Nerul area was arrested in the probe connected to the production of Pornography.
