Shia LaBeouf's appearance at the Oscars 2020 has posed more questions than he ever imagined before he went to the ceremony.
Fans of the 33-year-old actor are speculating that he may have tied the knot after the eagle-eyed among them spotted that he was wearing a band on his left ring finger.
He walked the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, where the 92nd Annual Academy Awards was being held.
Shia then presented an award on stage with his Peanut Butter Falcon co-star Zack Gottsagen and the band on his finger proved to be a huge distraction to his fans.
It is currently not sure who Shia may have married if he has walked down the aisle, with his latest flame being singer FKA Twigs.
Fans have speculated that Shia may have hooked up with previous love Mia Goth, who was his wife until they split in September 2018.
Regardless of who it may be that Shia is betrothed, it was enough to send his fans into a delirious state on social media.
Soon after pictures of the actor appeared, one fan asked on Twitter: "Shia wearing a wedding ring ???????"
This was then followed by an avalanche of inquisitive fans, with one tweeting: "Shia……. WHAT IS THAT RING IM SEEING?????"
Another devastated fan asked: "I just found out shia labeouf is married and now my whole night is ruined”.
With the thought that Shia has tied the know, the detective work online turned to finding out who the lucky women is.
It would seem that most road pointed in one direction and that was towards his ex Mia.
One fan asked on Twitter: “Based on the *obvious clue* of a wedding ring at the Oscars, how has no one on Twitter pre-registered the prediction that Mia Goth & Shia LaBeouf are back together?"
It would seem that this is the hottest trail at the moment of what could prove to be a huge red herring.
