Ibrox new boy Sheyi Ojo has claimed Rangers are the best team in the Scottish Premiership.
Even though Old Firm rivals Celtic are going for their 9th title in a row, the on-loan Liverpool winger believes Steven Gerrard’s side are better.
And a week before the start of a new campaign, Ojo says they can overturn the nine-point gap which separated the clubs at the top of the table in May.
The 22-year-old has already made an impact at Rangers, scoring in both of the Europa League qualifying ties against St Joseph’s and Progres Niederkorn.
And he says that, after watching Gerrard’s men defeat Celtic twice at Ibrox in the Premiership last term, he’s joined the best team in the country.

The Rangers boss has deliberately tried to play down his side’s title chances in pre-season.
But Ojo said: “Towards the end of last season I watched some of the Scottish Premiership games and I’m really looking forward to it.
“I think Rangers are the best team in the league. It’s just about proving that we’re the best team and doing really well this season.
“The gaffer has told us just to focus on ourselves. The difference last season was nine points which proved we’re pretty close to Celtic.
“It’s just about concentrating on us and then we’ll be able to make up those fine margins.
“I know we haven’t played Celtic yet and the league hasn’t started.
“But for me coming here, I feel like Rangers are the best team. It’s one of the reasons I signed here.
“I want to be part of a winning team and I think Rangers this season can do that.
“All the new players are focused and we’ll take it game by game. But so far it’s going really well.”
