Shettleston attack leaves man seriously injured after being jumped by two men in broad daylight

A man has been seriously injured after being jumped by two men in Glasgow .

The 40-year-old was found with facial injuries following a serious assault at around 5.50pm on Wednesday on Earnside Street, near the junction with Old Shettleston Road.

As a result of the attack the man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary .

Officers from Police Scotland are now looking for two men who they believe carried out the beating.

They are also carrying out CCTV enquiries in the area.

Detective Sergeant Colin Thapar, Shettleston Police Office, said: "It is believed that this man was attacked by two men and officers are currently working to obtain a description of them.

"We know the area was busy at that time of night with people travelling home from work, somebody must have seen something.

"Did you see an injured man? Or any altercation take place in that area? You may not have realised how serious the incident was."
