Shetland returned for the sixth and final episode of its sixth series on Wednesday night, and "devastated" fans are already desperate to see what happens next.
The thrilling conclusion to the latest story saw DI Jimmy Perez (Douglas Henshall) at last identify the killer of lawyer Alex Galbraith.
In a last-minute twist, it was revealed that it was Galbraith's own wife, Eve (Cora Bissett), who shot him dead - and their daughter knew all along.

She also ordered Niven Guthrie, the manager of her election campaign, to silence Eamon Gauldie, which is how he ended up dead at the end of the first episode of the series.
However, it was what happened after the resolution of the murders that left fans in shock.
Those who suspected Donna Killick (Fiona Bell) was up to something when she asked Duncan (Mark Bonnar) to post a letter to her solicitor were proven right.
It was revealed that she had written that, if she were to die, it would be because Duncan had murdered her - framing him for her death, even though she coerced him into it.
Not only that, but she also wrote that Perez would attempt to cover for him - getting her final revenge on the two men that put her behind bars.
Duncan voluntarily handed himself over to the police in an effort to protect his friend, but it wasn't enough as the episode ends with Perez being arrested.
The shock twist astonished fans, and many took to Twitter to share their feelings after the episode ended.
One wrote: "I'm devastated at that season finale of #Shetland. I'm stunned, shocked, in tears. Now I know why seasons 6 & 7 scripts were together. I'm utterly sad & heartbroken."

When will Shetland return for series 7?
Fortunately, a seventh series hasn't only been confirmed, but is almost finished being filmed!
A date for its premiere hasn't been set yet, but BBC confirmed at the end of the finale that it would air "in the new year".
Fans can rest assured that they won't have to wait another two-and-a-half-years to see what happens next.
