Sherlyn Chopra registers FIR against Rakhi Sawant and her lawyer Falguni Brahmbhatt for 'highly degrading and shameful remarks'

Sherlyn Chopra and Rakhi Sawant's feud has been in the news for quite some time. This began with Rakhi Sawant's explosive response about Sherlyn and later the actresses began to take a dig at each other. The war of words ended up in a legal affair.

Sherlyn Chopra initially filed a complaint against Rakhi Sawant for the shallow remarks that Rakhi passed for her. Later, Rakhi also filed a defamation case against Sherlyn.

Now, Sherlyn has lodged a complaint against Rakhi Sawant and her lawyer Falguni Brahmabhatt as they took personal digs at Sherlyn and passed 'shameful and degrading' remarks about her. Sherlyn says Rakhi Sawant's advocate Falguni went against the code of public conduct of an advocate.

When contacted Sherlyn regarding this, she said, “Our constitution gives no person the right to engage in the indecent representation of women in public. Both Rakhi Sawant and her lawyer, Falguni Brahmbhatt, have set a new low for making personal attacks. It is highly shameful and unacceptable! I have faith in the Police & Judiciary. Let the law take its own course.”

An FIR has been registered against Rakhi Sawant and her advocate, Falguni Brahmbhatt under IPC sections 354 A, 500, 504, 509 & IT ACT 67A.

ETimes Tv had exclusively reported Sherlyn Chopra's lawyer Suhail Shariff's statements on both the cases that she recently filed, one against Rakhi and one against Sajid Khan under the #MeToo act.

Her lawyer Suhail Shariff said, "Rakhi has shown her video clips to the media under various sections and also a defamation case is being slapped on her.''

About the development in the Sajid Khan case, Shariff said, "she is following up with the police officer and has already written a letter to the chief minister of Maharashtra and if there is no response from the police we will be moving court against Sajid Khan.''
