Sherlyn Chopra calls Deepika Padukone a ‘sympathiser of Tukde Tukde gang’; says the actress wearing saffron coloured bikini is 'not acceptable'

While support has been pouring in for Deepika Padukone from people within the industry, Sherlyn Chopra decided to side with Madhya Pradesh minister Dr Narottam Mishra over his comments on Deepika’s bikini in Pathaan’s song ‘Besharam Rang’.

Sherlyn told a news portal that Deepika, the sympathiser of Tukde Tukde gang gyrating in a saffron coloured bikini in a film song titled ‘Besharam Rang’ is most certainly not acceptable to the millions of Hindus who consider saffron as the colour of purity, faith and devotion.

Sherlyn also completely agree with Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra, who upon being asked about Aamir Khan doing Kalash Pooja and Shah Rukh Khan offering prayers to Vaishnodevi Maa, said that people can offer prayers to whomsoever they believe in but at the same time, they must be mindful of other people's beliefs and sentiments, she told IndiaToday.in.

Mishra had raised issues with the song in a tweet that read, ‘The costumes are highly objectionable and the song has been shot with a dirty mindset. The scenes and costumes of the songs should be corrected, otherwise, whether the film should be allowed in Madhya Pradesh or not, it would be a matter of consideration.’

‘Pathaan’ is slated for a Republic Day release next year in January. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the spy thriller also stars Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham in lead roles.
