Sheridan Smith will reprise her much-loved role as Cilla Black for a new stage production.
The iconic singer's life will be the focus of a musical and is being penned by the same writer behing the 2015 ITV drama/
Smith starred as the Liverpool songstress in the hit show and will now play her in a revival tour of Cilla the Musical.
Cilla the Musical premiered in 2017 and the lead was played by Kara Lily Hayworth following a series of open auditions.
Written by Jeff Pope, the musical will launch at the Liverpool Empire in September for a four-week run.
It will then hit the road and head to Aylesbury, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Leeds, ending in November.
The show is directed by Bill Kenwright and Bob Tomson and produced by Bill Kenwright Productions.
