Sheridan Smith sparked engagement rumours after posting a sweet selfie with her old flame Alex.
She took to Instagram to share the lovely photo which had her hand holding on to his face.
A diamond ring can be seen on her wedding finger as the two posed for the camera.
"Life begins at 40. 40\40," she wrote along with a heart emoji.
Fans immediately took to the comment section to compliment the star, with some questioning whether an 'engagement' occurred.
"Engagement???" one curious follower questioned while another wrote: "Excellent news."
One fan commented: "You are both so lucky," and one added: "Absolutely stunning Mega Happy For you Both."

It comes after Sheridan recently reunited with Alex two months after splitting from fiancé Jamie Horn - who she met on Tinder.
Alex and Sheridan last dated twenty years ago.
The actress called off her engagement with ex Jamie back in July of this year after a three-year relationship.
The star took to her social media and suggested that she could be back in a relationship with Alex.
She shared a video beside the actor and she captioned it: "So pleased this fitty I dated back in the day (20 years ago) is back in my life! Life works in mysterious ways...miss u Mr L."
Sheridan confirmed the breakup between her and Jamie slightly more than a year after they had their son Billy together.
The duo had shared a statement confirming their break up to The Sun, which read: "It is with great sadness that we have decided to have some time apart.
"We both remain completely committed to raising our beautiful boy Billy together. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you."

The couple got engaged back in May 2018 and the couple were living together in a property in North London.
Sheridan and Jamie met in 2018 after matching on Tinder – and Jamie proposed after one month of dating with a ring worth a reported £10,000.
