Delighted mum-to-be Sheridan Smith has revealed she is expecting her first child by telling passengers on a cruise ship: “I’ve got a baby on board.”
The singer and actress, 38, also revealed she is suffering from the dreaded "morning sickness lark".
Sheridan said she had ditched wearing heels to be able to run off stage to be sick while performing on board the Stages musical theatre cruise.
Speaking to an intimate audience on board the ship, Sheridan announced, while stroking her newly noticeable bump: “I’ve got a baby on board.”
She added she was suffering “this morning sickness lark” and told the crowd on board the Floating Festivals event: “I’ve got buckets in each wing and trainers so I can run.
"I’m very out of breath. I’ve got all these new symptoms, so sorry!”
The announcement omes a month after Cleaning Up star Sheridan revealed she was preparing to start a family with fiancé Jamie Horn.
She said being with child actors while in London’s West End production of Joseph and His Technicolor Dreamcoat had made her broody.
Sheridan, who lives in rural Kent with Jamie, added: “I can’t tell you how much I love the kids.
"They are all an utter joy and have made the whole experience for me, I will cherish the memories and watch their careers flourish.
“Me and Jamie now are thinking of making me a mamma. All thanks to these amazing souls.”
The Cilla actress met former insurance broker Jamie on social media dating app Tinder at the start of 2018.
He is onboard the Floating Festivals cruise ship with her.
