Sheridan Smith APOLOGISES for claiming fiancé's 'nut job' mum killed her pet dog

Sheridan Smith has apologised for accusing her fiancé's mum of killing her pet dog in a "silly rant" on Twitter.

The 37-year-old star said she was "hurt and angry" after discovering Pomeranian Panny was 'killed by another dog'.

But she did not explain why she had claimed her fiancé Jamie Horn hated her, while branding his mother a "nut job".

Sheridan said: "Thought I would clear up my silly rant. Firstly I apologise to anyone I upset, I was hurt and angry but this is no one's fault.

"It was an accident. Unfortunately my darling Panny was being looked after when another dog attacked her and as a result she died.

"I'm sorry for my outburst."

She then shared a few pictures in memory of Panny.

But Sheridan's initial tweets, which have since been deleted, sparked concern.

Referencing her partner's mum, said said: "This woman is capable of anything."
