Sheraton Grand London Park Lane hotel is bringing the Roaring Twenties to the capital

The Roaring Twenties is making a weekly comeback to the capital with an immersive Great Gatsby-inspired event.

The Sheraton Grand London Park Lane hotel, which opened in the heart of Mayfair in 1927, will turn back the clocks at 7.20pm every Wednesday to celebrate the hotel’s heritage.

Its Art Deco bar, The Palm Court, which already has a Twenties-style decor with geometric motifs and a stained glass ceiling, will host a weekly hour-long Twenties-style celebration with a jazz musician singing a list of vintage numbers.

Dancers will also perform the Charleston, while the cocktail menu will be changed to list classic drinks reminiscent of the Jazz Age, including a French 75 and Aviation.

Bruno Castro, bar manager at the Sheraton Grand, said: “The Palm Court is a real treasure at the heart of the hotel and 19:20 at The Palm Court is a chance to remind our guests about its heritage, by truly turning back the clocks for an all-singing, all-dancing hour of Roaring Twenties glamour.”
