Shepherdess Amanda Owen reveals on Lorraine how she deals with speculation about her private life

Shepherdess Amanda Owen revealed on Lorraine how she deals with the speculation about her private life.

Amanda is best known for the Channel 5 series Our Yorkshire Farm, which follows herself and fellow shepherd and husband Clive and their nine children on their family farm in the Yorkshire Dales.

The Mirror reported in November that the couple had released a statement following reported rumours into their private lives.

During the Yorkshire shepherdess appearance on Monday morning's Lorraine, the TV presenter subtly asked about the recent headlines and how Amanda deals with them.

The 62-year-old TV host asked: "There's always a down side and of course, you know you've had that attention on your life and that's great, but then when things aren't going so well it can be quite difficult, how do you deal with that?"

"You have your difficult moments but you have to take the rough with the smooth," 47-year-old Amanda replied: "I mean we've just talked about how you weather a storm. We're pretty resilient in the hills that's all you've got to do.

"The bottom line is, if you're proud of what you're doing you kind of have to sort of shoulder it and that's just exactly what we're doing.

She added: "Another words, get on with it, ignore it."

Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV from 9am.
