Sheltered home residents are delighted with teatime treat

The residents of a West Lothian sheltered housing complex were delighted to enjoy a well-deserved treat courtesy of a local charity.

The Cyrenians OPAL service received funding from Cairn Housing to organise an afternoon tea for the residents at Royal Scot Court in Bathgate.

Staff and volunteers from OPAL delivered afternoon tea along with a goody bag containing a DVD showcasing local musicians including Ukulele Unison, Bo’ness Belles Ladies Choir and singers Sarah Laing and Caelin Forshaw.

They were also given activity packs with puzzles and local service information.

Billie Skene, Cyrenians Opal, groups coordinator, said the 36 residents were “over the moon” at receiving their gifts.
