A hopeful dog behind kennel doors
Duke’s story, like so many shelter dogs, begins behind metal bars and concrete walls. He spent his days standing inside his kennel, his body angled toward the hallway, eyes fixed on anyone who walked by. His tail would wag gently as he watched people come and go, as if he were quietly asking, “Is it my turn yet?” He had no idea that, while he waited, his search for a family was already over.
