Tony Sheridan is remembered as one of the stars of the League of Ireland during the 1990s and kicks off Mirror Sport's new series of best XIs.
We will be asking some legends of the domestic game to name the best players they played with or against during their careers.
First up is Sheridan, who starred for Shelbourne in the late 90s.
Formerly of Coventry City and an ex-Ireland U-21 international, Sheridan played a key role in back-to-back FAI Cup triumphs for Shels and was named Premier Division Player of the Year for the 1995-96 season.
'Shero' also turned out for Dublin City and Shamrock Rovers, playing over 170 games in the domestic league - and has been busy recently, cycling 200km to raise funds for Shels, Pieta House and Lourdes Celtic.
Sheridan admits the task of selecting best XIs is a difficult one and tells Mirror Sport a 'lot of quality players have been left out'.
Sheridan's best XI played against
1. Brian O'Shea
Keeper O'Shea featured between the sticks for Home Farm and Bohemians in the late 1990s.
2. Owen Heary
Heary played with and against Sheridan during a glittering career which saw him land seven league titles across successful spells with Shels and Bohs.

3. Derek Tracey
Shamrock Rovers legend Tracey spent 17 years with The Hoops from 1989 to 2006 and was part of a squad that won the title in the 1993-94 season.
4. Maurice O'Driscoll
Ex-St Pat's and Bohemians star O'Driscoll captured a title early in his career with The Saints and battled Sheridan in Bohs-Shels derbies.
5. Peter Hutton
Derry City legend Hutton has three spells at The Brandywell as a player, winning a league, seven League Cups and three FAI Cups with The Candystripes - as well as a league title with Shels in 2001/02.
6. Paul Doolin
Midfielder Doolin won the double twice with Shamrock Rovers, a treble with Derry City and a double with Shels in 2000.
7. Eddie Gormley
Gormley battled Sheridan in the late 90s, when he became a St Pat's icon by winning three titles with the club.

8. Patsy Freyne
Freyne came up against Sheridan as a key man for Cork City in the 90s and won an FAI Cup with the club in 1998.
9. Tony Cousins
Cousins represented Dundalk, Bohemians, Shamrock Rovers and Bray Wanderers in the League of Ireland before going into management.
10. Liam Coyle
Prolific striker Coyle had three spells with his local club, Derry City, winning two league, three FAI Cups and four League Cups.
11. Paddy McCourt
Winger McCourt dazzled defences with Shamrock Rovers and Derry City in the 2000s, earning him a move to Celtic in 2008 and launching an eight-year stint in the UK.

Sheridan's best XI played with
1. Alan Gough
English keeper Gough enjoyed a 16-year career in Irish football and played with Sheridan at Shelbourne from 1995 to 1999.
2. Greg Costello
Costello won three FAI Cups and a league title with Shels in the 1990s.
3. Declan Geoghegan
Geoghegan was a key defender for Shelbourne, winning the double with the club in 2000.
4. Mick Neville
Decorated defender Neville was part of a hugely successful Shamrock Rovers side in the 1980s and won three FAI Cups and a league title with Shels.

5. Ray Duffy
Duffy and Sheridan linked up in the 1995-96 season with Shels, winning an FAI Cup and League Cup double that year.
6. Brian Flood
Flood was another key player in the side that put FAI Cups back-to-back in 1997 - and also starred in Shelbourne's 1991/92 league-winning campaign.
7. Mark Rutherford
The Birmingham native starred for Dublin's four big guns at various stages and played with Sheridan at Shels from 1995 to 1998, as well as at Shamrock Rovers in 2005.

8. Gary Howlett
Howlett spent 10 years in England before returning home to Shelbourne in 1991 and spending six years at Tolka Park.
9. John O'Rourke
O'Rourke won three cups with Shels along with Sheridan but injuries cut short his career.
10. Stephen Geoghegan
Geoghegan - eighth in the all-time League of Ireland top scorers list - was prolific with Shels from 1994 to 2003.
11. Wes Hoolahan
Hoolahan launched his career at Shelbourne. coming through the ranks at the club in the late 1990s before leaving for Livingston in 2006 and eventually becoming a Norwich and Ireland star.
