Sheikh Mansour attends first Man City match since 2010 as he watches Champions League final

Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour is in attendance for the Champions League final - the first time he was watched his club in nearly 13 years.

City are taking on Inter in the Champions League final in Istanbul as they aim to win the European trophy for the first time in their history. After already claiming the FA Cup and retaining their Premier League title, Pep Guardiola's side will claim a historic treble if they emerge victorious in Turkey.

One man hopeful of that outcome is Sheikh Mansour, who is in attendance at the Ataturk Stadium.

It's only the second time that City's benefactor has attended a competitive game since his investment vehicle, Abu Dhabi United Group, purchased the club in 2008.

The only other match he has watched in person was a 3-0 win over Liverpool in 2010 at the Etihad Stadium.

Sheikh Mansour missed City's first attempt to win the Champions League in 2021's final in Porto. The Blues suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Chelsea but are heavy favourites to dispatch Italian giants Inter to claim the elusive trophy. He is accompanied at the match by City chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak.

City are aiming to equal their neighbours Manchester United's greatest achievement by winning a treble like they did in 1999. The Blues dispatched their city rivals at Wembley a week ago to lift the FA Cup after brushing aside Arsenal's challenge to a win a third Premier League title in a row.
