Sheffield Wednesday's injury list in full ahead of Yorkshire derby clash against Leeds United

Sheffield Wednesday will hope to be able to include Massimo Luongo and Keiren Westwood for their Yorkshire derby with Leeds United, but manager Garry Monk says both players will have to be assessed before the encounter.

Marcelo Bielsa's side make the trip to Hillsborough on Saturday for a vital Championship encounter as the Whites look to keep ahead of the rivals in the race for Premier League promotion.

While Leeds themselves will be missing a clutch of key faces - including captain Liam Cooper and Pablo Hernandez - Wednesday will be forced to contend with potentially disruptive absences too.

Here's who could be in and out...

Tom Lees

The former United man left West Yorkshire to join the Owls in 2014 but looks set to miss out as he continues to return from injury.

The Wednesday skipper has been plagued with problems but is targeting a return sooner than later now, though he will be denied the chance of a reunion with his old club.

Massimo Luongo

The Australian midfielder scored the winner on Tuesday against Stoke but was forced off with a knock shortly afterwards.

Monk however hopes he will feature, stating: “We’ll assess him.

“I think it was just a kick and (he) just felt it too much to carry on. He was having a very good game up to that point.

“Maybe we missed his little bit of… you know, he carried the ball very well from midfield and can release you a little bit, and maybe we missed that a little bit when he went off.

“But no, it’s just a knock and we’ll reassess him tomorrow when he’s back in.”

Keiren Westwood

The goalkeeper pulled up during the warm-up against Cardiff last Friday and has yet to feature since.

“He’s been down with the physios," Monk stated. He went to have a scan just to make sure there’s (nothing). The scan’s come back clear so that’s good. We’ll see him when we’re back in training tomorrow (Wednesday).

“We’ll see (if he can play against Leeds). Right now he’s not been declared fit but the scans have come back very clear and fine.”
