Sheffield Wednesday have major injury concern over star striker ahead of facing Nottingham Forest

Sheffield Wednesday go into Saturday's trip to Nottingham Forest with significant selection problems.

The Owls, who have not kept a clean sheet since October, must do without full-back Moses Odubajo due to suspension, while defensive midfielder and former Forest loan signing Sam Hutchinson is also banned.

Liam Palmer is slated to replace Odubajo but he is a minor injury concern due to an unspecified knock.

More pressing to boss Garry Monk could be the potential absence of his most in-form striker.

He will hope Steven Fletcher overcomes a hamstring injury in time to play at the City Ground.

The 32-year-old has enjoyed a fine season with 11 goals in 21 games, including five in his last three, but is struggling according to the Sheffield Star.

The Scotland striker is well on course to better his 12-goal return last season for a side who are currently eighth in the Championship after Wednesday's 1-1 draw at Derby County made it four games ubeaten.
