Arsenal travel to Sheffield in gameweek nine after a run unbeaten five-game run before the international break.
Unai Emery’s side occupy third place going into the weekend, but could yet themselves as low as eighth is results don’t go their way. Alternately, they could be sat second come Tuesday morning.
Sheffield Utd meanwhile have impressed in the first eight games since returning to the top flight, and pushed league-leaders all the way when Liverpool were in town at the end of September.
This certainly won’t be an easy game for Arsenal.
Premier League preview
Sheffield Utd vs Arsenal
Premier League
Venue: Bramall Lane
Kick-off time: 8pm, Monday October 20
Team news and injuries
With players returning to full fitness, head coach Unai Emery has plenty of decisions to make ahead of Monday’s trip to Sheffield.
At the back, the returning Hector Bellerin will hope to feature but Calum Chambers deserves to start given his form.
Kieran Tierney, however, could get the nod at left-back given he had the international break off to work on his conditioning.
In midfield, Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi are likely to start but it is who joins them that remains a question. Lucas Torreira is pushing for a start, but you suspect Dani Ceballos may just edge him out.
Alexandre Lacazette has stepped up his recovery from injury and has returned to training for Arsenal. A start against Sheffield United on Monday may perhaps come too soon, but you would expect him to make the squad. In his absence, Bukayo Saka will look to continue his fine form alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe in a front three.

Possible Arsenal (4-3-3): Leno; Chambers, Sokratis, Luiz, Tierney; Ceballos; Xhaka, Guendouzi; Pepe, Aubameyang, Saka.
Head to Head record (H2H)
These sides have met on six occasions during the Premier League era, and half of those matches have ended in a draw.
Arsenal have two victories to their name, but are yet to win at Bramall Lane in the Premier League.
