Sheffield United vs Sunderland AFC - How to watch the match and what time?

Sunderland AFC will be hoping to take all three points from Bramhall Lane tonight, when they face a tough Sheffield United side in the EFL Championship.

It's been a rocky start for Sheffield United, who have one win, draw and loss thus far in their first three games this season. Comparatively, Alex Neil's squad currently sit on one win and two draws after a late comeback from Queens Park Rangers at the weekend - letting a 2-0 lead at home slip to a 2-2 tie.

Sunderland also suffered a knockout at the hands of United's rivals in Sheffield Wednesday last week - losing 2-0 away from home in the EFL Cup's first round.

As it stands, The Black Cats sit comfortably in ninth place with five points, while United trail ever so slightly behind in thirteenth on four.

With both sides wanting to propel themselves further in the early stages of the campaign, it's set to be a meaty and dramatic battle for the points at Bramhall Lane - and while Sunderland no doubt will be taking a large following down with them, many North East residents with other commitments may want to tune in on the action from home.

Here's how you can watch tonight's fixture live as it takes place...

How can I watch SUFC vs SAFC live?

Sheffield United vs Sunderland AFC will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Football tonight, with coverage starting at 7.30pm. Those who prefer to listen to coverage can do so via BBC Radio Newcastle from 6pm tonight. You can find it at 95.4FM and DAB, with Nick Barnes and Gary Bennett leading the play by play action.

Live scores will also be available on the BBC Sport website.

What time is kick off?

Although coverage starts on Sky Sports Football at 7.30pm tonight, kick off is expected half an hour later at 8pm sharp.

Team sheets and line-ups will also released via Sheffield United and SAFC's social media channels around 7pm - traditionally an hour before kick off.

Who are favourites to win?

Grosvenor Sport has Sheffield United as slight favourites at 8/11* with the home advantage, while Sunderland are sitting as underdogs at 15/4*.

Sheffield understandably favoured for victory over the Sunderland as competing at a Premier League standard last season, as opposed to SAFC's League One level they achieved promotion from. Don't let that count The Black Cats out however, who still remain undefeated in their last 19 league fixtures.
