Sheffield United vs Chelsea prediction: Olivier Giroud tipped to score first at Bramall Lane

Frank Lampard has spoken highly of Tammy Abraham after finding the net at Crystal Palace.

The young English striker scored his first goal since Project Restart and has high hopes for the former Aston Villa loanee to reach the levels of Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka.

He said: “I haven’t seen much and that is not to say there might not have been a change because Tammy in his personality is a very positive lad.

"He trains well, good around the group and that hasn’t changed. I know beyond that there are sometimes feelings for a player, especially a goalscorer who is having a tough time in front of goal.

“We had a conversation before the Palace game, so I was particularly delighted to see him break that against them. I hope there is an uplift for him, I hope his confidence has taken a nice boost and we’ll see.”

Lampard added: “I hope so. This being his Premier League breakthrough season, really. At Chelsea, the burden of the number nine shirt and being one of the main strikers was new to him this year.

"He has taken it on really well. He would have learned a lot from the really good patch, and then sometimes the difficult patch.

"The rest of the story is up to him. It’s about how hard he works, how he takes himself forward now and that is a good position for him to be in.”

Recommended bets:

  • Olivier Giroud to score first - 15/4
  • Score draw - 4/1

Win, lose or draw?

Chelsea are still in excellent form with just the defeat to West Ham since the restart of the Premier League.

However, their defence frailties were still there in the 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace and Sheffield United will be looking to exploit that.

Bramall Lane will be a tough place to go for Chelsea, and a draw might be the most likely outcome between these two teams.

Who's a good bet for 1st scorer?

Olivier Giroud has been in fine form since the restart and played a crucial role in the Blues having an important run to third place.

The Frenchman is likely to get the nod over Tammy Abraham again and if he does then he would be looking to add to his goal tally.

Who's on pens?

Willian has been in superb form from the spot since the restart and he should be on the duties once again.

Will your team keep a clean sheet?

Chelsea’s defence has continued to look suspect and even a win over Palace couldn’t hide that fact.

Sheffield United scored twice at Stamford Bridge and they will be feeling confident that they can at least get another.

So likely to be no clean sheet once again for the Blues.
