Sheffield United sign record-breaking former Liverpool youngster

Former Liverpool man Jack Robinson has made a January transfer to Sheffield United.

The switch from Nottingham Forest is believed to be for a fee in the region of £1million.

Robinson became the youngest debutant in Liverpool’s history in 2010, when he came on as a substitute in a 0-0 draw against Hull City aged just 16.

Chris Wilder told Sheffield United TV about the reasons behind signing the 26-year-old.

He said: "We've worked hard to get Jack in, he's a player I know a lot about.

"I tried to sign him when he was at QPR and we're delighted to get him now.

"I was looking for competition in that position (left centre-back) with Jack and he'll certainly provide that.”

The Blades host current champions Manchester City at Bramall Lane tonight.
