Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is expecting Alexandre Lacazette to make his return from injury for Arsenal on Monday night.
The Frenchman has missed the last seven games across all competitions with an ankle injury sustained in the 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at the beginning of last month.
But thanks to Kieran Tierney, it would appear that the Gunners' no.9 is closing in on a return to action.
Taking to social media after a training session last week, the Scotland international uploaded an image to his Instagram stories of him and Lacazette.
The caption reads: "Wagan, @lacazettealex," accompanied with a laughing face emoji.
Furthermore, Lacazette has been training outside for a week now, so him being in the squad to face the Blades won't be a surprise for Wilder who has praised the Arsenal squad.
"If you look through their team, they don't get to where they are by being bang average," Wilder said, as per the Star . "Even players like David Luiz and the captain of Switzerland [Granit Xhaka].
"The Premier League player of the month [Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang]… Lacazette looks like being fit and available, and they spent £60m on a winger in the summer [Pepe].
"It's elite football and they’ve also got some players not even getting in the squad who are quite tasty, too!"
Prior to his injury setback Lacazette had scored twice in three appearances for Arsenal this season, both of which have come at the Emirates Stadium.
Whilst the striker did net against Napoli as well as Valencia in the Europa League towards the end of last season, he's without a goal away from home in the Premier League since scoring against Huddersfield Town back in April.
That's a statistic that he will be eager to put right if he makes the squad which travels to Sheffield.
In addition, Arsenal fans are one step closer to seeing the front three of Lacazette, Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang once again.
