Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has confirmed he expects players to leave Bramall Lane as Luke Freeman closes in on a move to Nottingham Forest.
The deal is expected to be done soon after reports emerged that the former Bristol City player was set for a medical at the City Ground yesterday.
Freeman is set to leave United on a temporary basis after only one season at the Yorkshire club.
He signed for Wilder's newly-promoted Blades last summer from Queens Park Rangers for around £5 million but only started three games in the Premier League last season.
Indeed, he was reportedly a target for Forest in January when it became clear he had fallen out of favour with Wilder.
Freeman has only played 38 minutes of League football in 2020 and will hope to revitalise himself at the Reds, who will be going for promotion this season.
And Wilder, speaking to YorkshireLive yesterday, confirmed that "a couple of players will go out" of the club.
"It's a very small market but there's still bits and pieces to do and hopefully we can do them because there's only two or three weeks left before the season," he added.

Freeman, who came through the ranks at Arsenal, has made 163 Championship appearances scoring 18 goals and assisting 29 times from central midfield.
He also counts Stevenage, Gillingham and Yeovil Town among his former clubs.
Freeman was capped twice at England Under-17 level in 2009.
