Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has shared his delight after making Rhian Brewster the Blades' club-record signing.
The striker left Liverpool in a £23.5m transfer on Friday following a summer-long pursuit, having enjoyed a successful half-season stint on loan with Swansea City last year.
Wilder took over at Bramall Lane in 2016 when Sheffield United were still in League One, leading the Blades to promotion as champions in his first season at the club before securing their place in the top-flight two years later.
And after narrowly missing out on qualifying for Europe during their first season back in the Premier League, the Sheffield United boss shared his views on signing Brewster and how it showcases how far the Blades have come during his tenure.
"For us as a club, paying £20m for a player was unthinkable six years ago," he told BBC Football Focus. "Now it's just getting you a teenager."
"At the top of the pitch we have one of the country's hottest properties from Liverpool and for him to sign permanent here is fantastic for everyone concerned," he added to the club's website.
"There has been a lot of interest in him over the summer, a lot of speculation about who we were going for, but he has been our number one target and I am delighted to have secured his services.
"If you look at the signings we have made throughout the summer, it bodes well for the future of the football club. He's a talent, as are a lot of the younger players we have brought in, whether that's Oli Burke, Max Lowe, Jayden Bogle or Aaron Ramsdale, they are the profiles of the players we wanted to bring in during the summer, and we're delighted we have done it.
"He's a natural goalscorer. He finishes from any aspect, whether it is in the air or whether it's spectacular goals, free-kicks or off his shin - he has a lovely habit of scoring goals, which is crucial in the Premier League."
